SIR MT WHITNEY
Ol' Man Whitney (14,525') asked me to have you bring up a bottle of champagne so he can join you in celebrating your arrival and a good cheer to commemorate creation. In the lyrics of Oleta Adams, "GET HERE IF YOU CAN."
It is a spectacular drive up the majestic Portal turn-off of Hwy 395; however, this pales in comparison to sitting on his nose, literally. In all fairness to his longevity, toughness, and massive domain, Sir Whitney's spirit can be seen from all directions and from all altitudes. He is the PRINCE of the Sierra's and wears it well. ;)

CATALINA ISLAND
One of Southern California's 'Sleepy' Little Paradises. AIRBNB has brought many to enjoy Her pearly treasures, like the ever amazing museum, Her gorgeous harbor, zip-lining, diving, golfing, touring, camping, fishing, boating, sailing, swimming, biking, walking, eating, drinking are all fantastic activities within Her domain. Furthermore, after a fun-filled day the outdoor bar serving coconut cocktails on the beach followed by fresh caught seafood of the day makes this little sleepy getaway an all time favorite. Did I mention the plentiful sushi swimming in her deep blue/green backyard waters? Also, one must love the thought of dining on the precious white-seabass known and caught around her quarry.
SLICE O HEAVEN 7 The name says it all. It truly is a magical place...one in which I call home. It is a visual wonderland within the national forest, containing 21 mature pines standing guard on Her grounds, endless big sky views, and a sense of peace and tranquility only found on top of the world at 7000 feet. If directions are of importance to you..."go to the end of the world and make a left...;)" |
